Float Valve Stuck Down
Float valve does not rise during pressure cooking, and the cooker never indicates it is at pressure.

Possible Causes
Food residue or starch buildup around float valve, Missing or hardened float valve silicone cap, Insufficient liquid or steam generation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not attempt to force the float valve up with tools while heating.
- Check liquid level: Ensure there is enough liquid in the pot for pressure cooking.
- Clean float valve: After cooling, remove the float valve and silicone cap. Clean the valve, its channel, and the cap with warm soapy water. Ensure the valve moves freely in its bore.
- Inspect silicone cap: Replace the cap if it is cracked, hardened, or missing.
- Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with water only to confirm the float now rises.
If the float still does not rise despite adequate liquid and a clean valve, the heating system may not be generating enough steam and should be checked.
