Tower Thermal Expansion Noise / Loose Internal Components

Loud popping, clicking, or metallic banging noises from inside the multicooker during heating.

Possible Causes

Inner pot bottom not flat or warped, Loose mounting screws on heating plate, Loose inner pot detection spring or bracket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug and allow to cool before inspecting the base.

  • Check inner pot: Place the pot on a flat surface and press on the bottom. If it rocks or flexes, it may be warped and should be replaced.
  • Inspect heating plate: Remove the inner pot and gently press the central heating plate. A small amount of movement is normal, but rattling or clunking suggests loose screws underneath.
  • Tighten mounting hardware: Remove the bottom cover and tighten the screws securing the heating plate and inner pot detection mechanism. Do not overtighten to avoid warping.
  • Test with water: Reassemble and run a short cycle with water to confirm noise reduction.

Some clicking from metal expansion is normal, but persistent loud banging after tightening may indicate a defective heating plate assembly.
