Possible Causes
Condensation collector not installed or full, Lid condensation dripping down outer shell, Small leak from steam release or float valve, Cracked condensation tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before wiping up any water near electrical parts.
- Check condensation collector: Many Tristar models have a removable condensation cup at the back. Ensure it is installed correctly and not overflowing. Empty and clean it regularly.
- Inspect lid and valves: Look for drips from the steam release valve, float valve, or lid rim. Clean and reseat seals as needed.
- Dry exterior: Wipe the outer shell and base dry after each use to prevent corrosion.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the condensation collector and its mounting area for cracks. Replace if damaged.
If water appears to be leaking from inside the base rather than condensation, discontinue use and have the cooker inspected for internal leaks.
