Possible Causes
Misaligned lid locking pin, Stuck float valve, Dirty lid lock sensor, Defective lid lock microswitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is not under pressure. The float valve must be down before opening the lid.
- Check lid alignment: Open and close the lid following the alignment marks on the body and lid. Make sure it rotates fully into the locked position.
- Clean float valve: Remove the float valve pin and silicone cap (per manual). Clean with warm soapy water, rinse, and ensure it moves freely up and down.
- Clean lid lock slot: Food residue can prevent the locking pin from fully engaging. Clean the slot and surrounding area with a damp cloth.
- Test lid switch: With the unit unplugged, close the lid and listen for a click from the lid switch. If no click is heard and the mechanism feels loose, the switch or lock assembly may be faulty.
If the lid message persists even when the lid is clearly locked and clean, the lid lock switch assembly should be replaced.
