Safety first: Avoid touching hot surfaces; use handles and keep children away from the appliance.

Check placement: Ensure adequate clearance around the cooker and do not operate it under low cabinets where heat can accumulate.
Monitor temperature: Some warmth is normal, but if you cannot briefly touch the sides, there may be an internal issue.
Inspect vents: Clean any dust or grease from vents to improve airflow.
Internal inspection (advanced): With the unit unplugged and cooled, remove the outer shell (if serviceable) to check that reflective heat shields and insulation are intact and correctly positioned.

If insulation or shields are damaged or missing, they should be replaced to prevent overheating of the exterior and nearby surfaces.
