Lid Seal Failure / Gasket Compression Loss
Steam or water leaking from around the lid rim during pressure cooking.

Possible Causes
Aged or flattened silicone gasket, Food debris on lid rim, Lid not fully locked, Warped inner pot causing uneven lid pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you see heavy steam leaking from the rim, cancel the program and allow the cooker to depressurize naturally before opening.
- Clean contact surfaces: After cooling, remove the gasket and clean the lid rim and cooker body rim thoroughly. Even small food particles can break the seal.
- Inspect gasket condition: If the gasket feels hard, has visible cracks, or no longer sits snugly in its groove, replace it.
- Check lid locking: Close the lid and ensure it rotates fully into the locked position. If it stops early, check for obstructions.
- Inspect inner pot: A severely warped pot can prevent even pressure on the gasket. Replace the pot if the bottom is not flat.
Persistent rim leaks almost always require a new silicone gasket. Use only Tristar-compatible gaskets sized for your model.
