Safety first: Unplug the cooker before working near the control panel.

Dry out moisture: If the panel was recently cleaned with liquid, leave the unit unplugged in a dry area for 24 hours to allow moisture to evaporate.
Clean surface: Wipe the panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove grease or residue that may interfere with touch sensitivity.
Check for physical damage: Look for cracks, bubbles, or peeling on the keypad overlay. Damaged overlays usually require replacement.
Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the outer housing (unplugged) and ensure the keypad ribbon cable is firmly seated in the control board connector.
Replace keypad assembly: If only certain buttons fail or require excessive force, the keypad assembly should be replaced.

Control panel buttons are unresponsive or require very hard presses to register.
