Possible Causes

Open or disconnected thermistor on heating plate, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Failed main control board temperature input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Wolf Gourmet multicooker and allow it to cool completely before any inspection. Never work on the unit while it is connected to power.

  • Power reset: Unplug the cooker for 5–10 minutes, then plug it back in and try a simple manual mode (e.g., Sauté on low). If E1 reappears immediately, the fault is likely hardware-related.
  • Check for obvious damage: Remove the inner pot and visually inspect the exposed heating plate area. Look for burned spots, melted plastic, or loose sensor leads where the temperature sensor (small metal probe or button-type sensor) contacts the underside of the inner pot area.
  • Inspect sensor harness (if accessible): If you are comfortable removing the bottom cover (unplugged only), carefully remove the base screws and inspect the wiring harness from the heating plate temperature sensor to the main control board. Look for broken, pinched, or disconnected wires and reseat any loose connectors.
  • Clean contact area: Wipe the heating plate and the bottom of the inner pot with a soft, dry cloth to remove residue that might interfere with proper temperature reading. Do not use abrasive pads.
  • When to stop: If the wiring and connectors appear intact and E1 persists, the internal thermistor or the control board is likely defective. At this point, contact Wolf Gourmet customer care or a qualified appliance technician for sensor or board replacement.
