Possible Causes

Shorted thermistor on heating plate, Moisture intrusion into sensor connector, Failed main control board sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the multicooker from the outlet and allow it to cool fully.

  • Dry the unit: If the cooker was recently cleaned or boiled over, moisture may have entered the sensor area. Remove the inner pot and lid, leave the cooker open in a dry, well-ventilated area for 24 hours. Do not use heat guns or hair dryers directly on the unit.
  • Inspect for liquid damage: Look around the heating plate and inner rim for signs of liquid pooling or corrosion. Gently wipe any visible moisture with a dry cloth.
  • Check sensor wiring (if accessible): With the unit unplugged, remove the bottom cover and inspect the sensor connector on the heating plate and on the main control board. If you see corrosion or moisture, gently dry and clean with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol, then let it dry completely.
  • Test after drying: Reassemble, plug in, and run a low-temperature program with water in the pot. If E2 reappears, the sensor or control board is likely shorted internally.
  • Professional service: Replacement of the thermistor or main control board should be done by a qualified technician to avoid damaging the sealed heating assembly.
