Possible Causes
Faulty pressure sensor on control board, Damaged pressure sensor tubing or port, Control board firmware misreading sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the cooker to fully depressurize and cool before inspection.
- Clean pressure path: Remove and clean the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and any removable pressure channels in the lid. Blockages can cause abnormal pressure readings.
- Check lid seal: Inspect the silicone lid gasket for deformation, cracks, or food buildup. A poor seal can cause unstable pressure and confuse the sensor. Clean or replace the gasket as needed.
- Reset the unit: Unplug the cooker for 10 minutes to reset the control electronics. Plug back in and run a water-only pressure test.
- Observe behavior: If E8 appears even with clean components and water only, the pressure sensor or its circuitry is likely defective.
- Professional calibration/replacement: Pressure sensors on Wolf Gourmet multicookers are typically integrated with the control board and are not user-calibrated. Contact an authorized service center for board replacement.
