Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on main control board, Failed EEPROM or flash memory, Power surge damage to logic circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the cooker from power before extended troubleshooting.
- Basic reset: Unplug the multicooker for at least 15 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and check if the error clears.
- Try different modes: Attempt to select various cooking modes (Sear, Slow Cook, Rice, etc.) to see if any function will start. If E9 blocks all modes, the fault is likely in core firmware.
- Surge protection: If the error appeared after a storm or outage, consider using a surge protector in the future. However, do not continue using a unit that consistently shows E9.
- Service requirement: Firmware and memory components are not field-serviceable. The main control board will typically need replacement by an authorized Wolf Gourmet service provider.
