Possible Causes
Lid not fully locked, Misaligned lid locking tabs, Faulty lid detection switch, Debris preventing lid from seating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is cool and not under pressure before manipulating the lid.
- Re-seat the lid: Remove the lid completely, inspect the rim for food debris, then reinstall following the Wolf Gourmet alignment marks. Rotate until you feel and hear it lock.
- Check gasket and rim: Inspect the silicone gasket and the cooker rim for food buildup that might prevent full closure. Clean with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Inspect lid tabs: Verify that the metal or plastic locking tabs on the lid are not bent or damaged. They must engage fully with the cooker body.
- Test lid switch: With the unit unplugged, gently press the lid-detection switch or lever in the cooker rim (if visible). It should move freely and spring back. If stuck, clean around it with a soft brush.
- Persistent lid error: If the message remains even when the lid is clearly locked, the lid switch or its wiring may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
