Possible Causes
Inner pot filled above MAX line, Foamy foods (starches, beans) expanding excessively, Liquid entering lid sensor or steam path, Pressure sensor detecting unstable conditions
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If under pressure, allow the cooker to depressurize according to the manual before opening.
- Check fill level: Open the lid and verify that food and liquid are below the MAX fill line indicated on the Wolf Gourmet inner pot. For pressure cooking, do not exceed 2/3 full, and for foamy foods, stay at or below 1/2 full.
- Reduce foaming: For beans, grains, and starchy foods, add a small amount of oil and avoid over-stirring before cooking. Skim foam if necessary.
- Clean lid components: Remove and clean the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and gasket to remove any residue from boil-overs.
- Restart with proper volume: Adjust the recipe volume and try again. If the overfill warning appears even with low volume and water only, the pressure or overfill sensor may be malfunctioning.
