Possible Causes
Loose heating plate mounting screws, Warped inner pot causing uneven contact, Failing relay on control board, Foreign object trapped under inner pot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before inspecting internal areas.
- Identify normal vs abnormal: Occasional soft clicks from relays are normal. Continuous loud buzzing, arcing sounds, or metallic grinding are not.
- Inspect under inner pot: Remove the pot and check for utensils, grains, or debris on the heating plate. Remove any foreign objects.
- Check pot contact: Place the empty inner pot on the plate and gently press down. It should sit flat without rocking. Replace a warped pot.
- Internal inspection (advanced): With the bottom cover removed (unplugged), check that the heating plate mounting screws are tight and that no wires are touching the hot surfaces.
- Stop use if electrical noise persists: Buzzing or crackling from the control board area may indicate a failing relay or arcing. Discontinue use and have the board inspected and replaced if necessary.
