Possible Causes
Worn or missing silicone cap on float valve, Dirty or damaged steam release valve seal, Misassembled lid components after cleaning
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooker and allow it to depressurize naturally if possible. Keep hands away from escaping steam.
- Disassemble lid components: Once cool, remove the steam release valve, anti-block shield, and float valve according to the Wolf Gourmet manual.
- Clean thoroughly: Wash all parts with warm soapy water, paying special attention to small holes and silicone seals. Rinse and dry completely.
- Inspect seals: Check the small silicone cap or gasket on the float valve and the underside of the steam release valve. Replace if cracked, hardened, or missing.
- Reassemble correctly: Follow the manual to ensure each part is installed in the correct orientation. An upside-down or missing part will cause leaks.
- Test under pressure: Run a short water-only pressure test and observe the lid. Minor wisps of steam during heat-up are normal, but continuous venting from unintended areas indicates a part still needs replacement.
