Possible Causes

Non-original or incompatible inner pot, Deformed pot bottom not contacting sensor, Dirty or oxidized contact area on heater plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker before cleaning the heater plate.

  • Use original pot: Ensure you are using the original Xiaomi inner pot designed for your model. Third-party pots may not be recognized.
  • Inspect pot bottom: Check for warping, dents, or heavy carbon buildup. A warped pot may not sit flat and can trigger U1.
  • Clean contact surfaces: Wipe the bottom of the pot and the heater plate with a soft, damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Remove any burnt-on residue.
  • Seat pot correctly: Place the pot in the cooker and rotate it gently to ensure it sits evenly and fully contacts the heater plate.
  • Test again: Plug in and start a simple program. If U1 persists with the original pot, the pot detection sensor or weight switch may be faulty.
  • Internal check (advanced): Some models use a weight sensor or microswitch under the heater plate. Inspect and test this sensor for proper operation and replace if defective.
