Possible Causes
Moisture or grease under touch panel, Damaged keypad membrane, Loose ribbon cable between control panel and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before opening the control panel.
- Clean exterior: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for several minutes, then reconnect and test. Sometimes static or minor glitches clear with a reset.
- Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the front/control panel cover to access the keypad or touch board. Reseat the ribbon cable connector on both the panel and main PCB.
- Check for corrosion: Look for signs of moisture damage on the keypad PCB. Clean with isopropyl alcohol if minor; replace if severe.
- Replace keypad/touch board: If specific buttons never respond or the panel is cracked, replace the keypad membrane or capacitive touch board with a Xiaomi-compatible part.
