Possible Causes
Disconnected NTC sensor, Broken sensor lead, Corroded sensor connector, Faulty main control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker before any inspection. Do not operate with covers removed.
- Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect and try a simple program like Keep Warm or Sauté to see if the error clears.
- Check for physical damage: Inspect the underside and interior for signs of impact, deformation, or liquid ingress that could have damaged the sensor wiring.
- Sensor wiring inspection (advanced): If you are experienced with appliance repair and the warranty has expired, remove the bottom cover to locate the temperature sensor leads from the heating plate to the control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and wires are not pinched or broken.
- Do not bypass sensor: Never short or bypass the sensor to clear the error; this disables critical temperature protection.
- If E4 persists: Replace the bottom temperature sensor assembly. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board is likely defective.
