Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB, Damaged touch panel, Corroded connector from moisture, Failed keypad controller IC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before accessing the control panel.
- Dry out moisture: If liquid was spilled on the control panel, unplug immediately and let the unit dry for 24–48 hours in a warm, dry area. Do not use heat sources that could warp plastic.
- Check for stuck buttons: Gently press each button to ensure none are physically stuck or jammed. Wipe the panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the front panel to access the keypad ribbon cable. Ensure it is fully seated in the connector and not damaged.
- Test operation: Reassemble, plug in, and test. If E9 remains and buttons are unresponsive, the keypad or control board likely needs replacement.
- Replace affected part: Install a new Zavor keypad membrane or complete control panel assembly as specified for your model.
