Possible Causes
Inner pot too hot from previous sauté, Insufficient liquid in pot, Burned food layer on bottom, Faulty temperature sensor reading high
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling a hot inner pot.
- Cool the pot: Cancel the program and remove the inner pot carefully. Allow it to cool on a heat-safe surface.
- Clean the bottom: If food is stuck or burned on the bottom, soak and clean the pot thoroughly.
- Check liquid level: Before starting a pressure program, ensure you have at least the minimum recommended liquid (consult your Zavor manual).
- Wipe sensor area: With the pot removed and cooker unplugged, wipe the heating plate and temperature sensor gently and dry completely.
- Retry: Reinsert the pot with adequate liquid and restart the program. If "HOT" appears immediately on a cool pot, the temperature sensor may be faulty.
