Possible Causes
Very thick or starchy food at bottom, Inner pot running nearly dry, Temperature sensor detecting excessive heat, Poor contact between pot and heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Cancel the program and unplug the cooker. Allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Remove food: Take out the inner pot and transfer food to another container. Do not scrape aggressively while hot.
- Soak and clean: Soak the pot to loosen burnt-on food, then clean with a non-abrasive sponge.
- Clean heater surface: Wipe the heating plate and sensor area to remove any residue that could cause hot spots.
- Adjust recipes: Add more liquid, avoid very thick sauces on the bottom, and layer starchy foods above thinner liquids.
- Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with only water. If OvHt still appears, the temperature sensor or control board calibration may be faulty.
