Possible Causes
Food residue around float valve, High starch foam blocking vent, Bent float valve pin, Deformed silicone cap
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the lid open. Ensure all steam has been released via the steam release valve.
- Release remaining pressure: Move the steam release valve to Venting and wait until no more steam escapes.
- Tap gently: Using a utensil, gently tap the float valve from the outside to help it drop.
- Cool the cooker: If the valve still does not drop, unplug the cooker and allow it to cool for 20–30 minutes, then try again.
- Clean valve components: Once open, disassemble and clean the float valve and surrounding area thoroughly. Replace any damaged parts.
