How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from the valve while hot. Allow the cooker to depressurize fully before disassembly.
- Remove valve cap: Once cool, remove the steam release valve cap or knob according to the Zavor manual.
- Clean thoroughly: Rinse the valve parts under warm water and use a small brush to remove food particles.
- Inspect gasket: Check any small silicone or rubber gasket in the valve for cracks or deformation. Replace if worn.
- Reassemble correctly: Reinstall the valve components in the correct orientation and ensure the cap can move freely between Sealing and Venting.
- Test with water: Run a short pressure cycle with water only to verify proper sealing.
