Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: The base plate may be very hot. Unplug and allow the unit to cool completely before inspection.
- Check liquid level: Open the lid and verify that there is enough water or cooking liquid according to the recipe and markings inside the pan.
- Clean the inner pan bottom: Remove any burnt rice or food stuck to the bottom. Wash and dry the pan thoroughly before reuse.
- Inspect heating plate: After cooling, remove the pan and gently wipe the heating plate with a soft dry cloth. Do not scratch or press hard on the sensor in the center.
- Ensure ventilation: Make sure the multicooker is on a hard, flat surface with several inches of clearance around it. Do not operate it inside cabinets or against walls.
- Reset and test: After at least 30 minutes of cooling, plug in and try a short cycle with proper water level. If E03 appears immediately, the overheat sensor or thermal fuse may be defective.
When to call a technician: If the unit overheats with correct water levels or shows E03 instantly, internal safety components must be tested and replaced professionally.
