Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and allow it to cool before any inspection. Internal testing involves live circuits and should be done only by trained personnel.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes to discharge internal circuits, then plug back in and try again. Sometimes transient faults clear with a reset.
- Check for moisture: Inspect around the base and underside for signs of liquid spills that may have reached the sensor area. If moisture is present, let the unit dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry place (unplugged).
- Visual inspection: With the pan removed, look at the center sensor post or disc on the heating plate. If it is physically damaged, loose, or burnt, do not use the cooker.
- Do not bypass sensors: Never attempt to short or bypass the thermistor; this can cause dangerous overheating.
When to call a technician: E04 almost always indicates a failed thermistor or board. Replacement requires opening the housing, testing resistance, and soldering or connector work.
