E05 appears and the cooker stops; may occur during keep-warm or slow-cook modes.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the lid or hinge area.

• Inspect lid wiring path: Open the lid and look along the hinge area for pinched or exposed wires leading to the lid. If insulation is damaged, discontinue use.
• Check for moisture and residue: Wipe condensation and food residue from the underside of the lid and around the steam cap. Excess moisture can affect the lid sensor.
• Drying procedure: Leave the lid open in a dry, ventilated area for several hours (unit unplugged) to ensure the sensor and connector are dry.
• Reset and test: Plug in and run a short cycle. If E05 reappears quickly, the lid sensor circuit is likely defective.

When to call a technician: Replacing the lid thermistor or hinge harness requires disassembly of the lid and hinge, which is best done by a service center.
