Possible Causes
Stuck touch key, contaminated touch panel surface, failed capacitive touch controller, damaged ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel.
- Clean panel: Wipe the glass touch surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Grease or moisture can cause false touches.
- Check for stuck keys: On models with physical buttons, ensure none are jammed or physically stuck in the pressed position.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and check the flat cable from the touch panel to the control board for kinks or cracks. Reseat both ends.
- Replace touch panel: If a particular key area always triggers F21 or remains unresponsive, the touch panel assembly may need replacement.
Warning: Do not spray cleaner directly onto the control panel; liquid can seep inside and damage electronics.
