Possible Causes
Damaged meat probe, shorted probe socket, broken probe cable, contamination in probe jack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before inspecting the probe socket.
- Remove probe: If a food probe is connected, unplug it and check if F23 clears. If it does, the probe is likely faulty.
- Inspect probe cable: Look for cuts, kinks, or melted sections. Replace the probe if damaged.
- Clean probe socket: Use a dry cotton swab to gently clean the probe jack inside the oven. Do not use liquids.
- Test with new probe: If available, test with a known-good AEG-compatible probe. If F23 persists even with no probe connected, the socket or control board may be faulty.
Warning: Do not insert metal tools into the probe socket; this can damage contacts or cause short circuits.
