Possible Causes

Shorted triac on power module, burnt relay contacts, internal short on power board, wiring short to chassis

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains. If the breaker trips repeatedly, do not attempt to power the oven until inspected.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the top or rear cover to access the power module. Look for burnt components, darkened PCB areas, or melted connectors.
  • Check wiring: Inspect all high-current wires from the power module to the elements and fan. Ensure no insulation is damaged or touching the metal chassis.
  • Element isolation test: Disconnect one heating element at a time and test the oven (with covers refitted for safety). If the breaker stops tripping when a particular element is disconnected, that element or its wiring is shorted.
  • Board replacement: If the board shows visible damage or F7 persists with all loads testing good, replace the power module with the correct AEG part. Transfer each connector one by one to avoid miswiring.

Warning: This fault involves live mains and high current. If you are not experienced with electrical diagnostics, contact a qualified technician.
