AGA oven control knobs are stiff, hard to turn, or do not click into positions.

Safety first: Turn off the oven and allow the control area to cool before removing knobs.

• Remove knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts. Do not lever against the glass or enamel.
• Clean shafts and knobs: Wipe away grease and debris with a mild cleaner. Ensure the knob bores are clean and dry.
• Inspect shafts: Check for bending or damage to the selector or thermostat shafts. Replace the underlying switch if the shaft is distorted.
• Check fascia alignment: Ensure the control panel is not warped and that the shafts are centered in their holes.
• Refit or replace knobs: If the knob inserts are cracked or loose, replace with AGA-approved knobs.
