Possible Causes
Open common thermal cut-out, failed main heating relay, broken common feed to elements, faulty mode selector not sending power to elements
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before testing continuity.
- Check multiple modes: Try fan oven, conventional, and grill. If none heat, suspect a common component (cut-out, relay, supply).
- Test thermal cut-outs: Locate any master high-limit thermostats and test for continuity. Replace if open.
- Inspect main relay: On the control PCB, identify the main heater relay. Look for burnt contacts or cracked solder joints. Replacement of the PCB is usually required if the relay has failed.
- Check common feed wiring: Trace the live feed from the relay to the element distribution. Repair any breaks or burnt connectors.
- Verify selector switch: If a mechanical selector is used, test that it passes power in each mode.
