Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, faulty lamp holder, broken lamp glass from heat, failed light switch or relay on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the oven and allow it to cool. Isolate from mains before touching the lamp holder.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass lens over the lamp (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a high-temperature, AGA-approved oven lamp of the correct wattage and cap type.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for heat damage, corrosion, or loose connections at the lamp holder. Replace if brittle or burnt.
- Test supply: With power off, check continuity from the control board to the lamp holder. If the holder and wiring are good but no voltage is supplied when the light should be on, the control PCB light relay may be faulty.
