Possible Causes

Loose fan blade, worn fan motor bearings, loose internal panels or screws, cooling fan hitting shroud, transformer or relay hum on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any covers. Sharp edges and hot components may be present.

  • Identify noise source: Note whether the noise occurs only in fan modes, only when heating, or continuously. This helps distinguish between circulation fan, cooling fan, and electrical hum.
  • Check circulation fan: Remove the internal fan cover and ensure the fan blade is tight on the shaft and not contacting the cover. Tighten the retaining nut if loose.
  • Inspect cooling fan: From the top or rear, check that the cooling fan blades are not rubbing on the housing. Adjust position or replace if bent.
  • Tighten panels: Tighten any loose screws on side panels, rear cover, and internal baffles that may vibrate.
  • Fan motor bearings: If the fan makes a grinding or squealing noise, the motor bearings are likely worn. Replace the fan motor.
