Possible Causes
Separate fan-oven sensor open or short, wiring fault to fan cavity sensor, sensor connector loose at PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power and allow it to cool.
- Identify fan oven sensor: Some multi-cavity AGA ovens use a dedicated sensor for the fan oven. Locate it at the rear of the fan cavity.
- Check connector: Remove the sensor mounting screws and pull the sensor forward. Inspect and reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance: Test the sensor with a multimeter at room temperature and compare to the specified value. An open or shorted reading indicates failure.
- Inspect harness: Trace the sensor wiring back to the control PCB, checking for damage or pinched sections.
- Replace sensor: Install a new AGA fan-oven temperature sensor if faulty. If the sensor and wiring are good, the control PCB input channel may be defective.
