Possible Causes
Open grill element, failed grill relay on PCB, high-limit thermostat open in grill circuit, loose wiring to grill terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power. The grill element becomes extremely hot; ensure it is cool before handling.
- Visual inspection: Examine the grill element for visible breaks, hot spots, or sagging.
- Test element resistance: Access the rear of the oven and disconnect the grill element terminals. Measure resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed element.
- Check high-limit thermostat: Locate any thermal cut-out in series with the grill. Test for continuity; replace if open.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Tighten any loose spade connectors and replace heat-damaged wires.
- Replace grill element or PCB: Fit a new AGA grill element if faulty. If the element and thermostats are good but F15 persists, the control PCB grill relay may be defective.
