Oven light does not work, but oven heats normally.

Step-by-step checks:

• Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace with the correct high-temperature appliance bulb specified by Amana.
• Test socket: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the socket for corrosion or burning. Replace the socket if damaged.
• Door switch: Check that the light turns on when the door is opened (if designed to). Test the door switch for continuity when pressed/released.
• Control relay: If the light never comes on from the control panel but the bulb and socket are good, the light relay on the EOC may have failed and the board may need replacement.
