Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before adjusting or removing the door.

• Inspect hinges: Open the door and check for sagging or uneven gaps around the door. Look for bent hinge arms.
• Door removal: Many American Range doors can be removed by opening to the broil stop position and lifting off the hinges. Refer to the manual. Remove the door to inspect hinges more closely.
• Check hinge receivers: Inspect the hinge receivers on the oven frame for looseness or damage. Tighten mounting screws.
• Replace hinges or gasket: If hinges are worn or bent, replace them as a pair. If the gasket is flattened or torn, replace the oven door gasket to ensure a proper seal.

Note: After reinstallation, verify the door closes evenly and latches firmly.
