Oven light does not turn on when the door is opened or when the light button is pressed.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before replacing bulbs or sockets.

• Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven bulb rating specified by American Range.
• Test door switch: If the light still does not work, test the door switch for continuity when pressed and released. Replace if defective.
• Inspect socket: Check the light socket for corrosion or heat damage. Replace the socket if contacts are burnt or loose.
• Control issue: If the bulb, switch, and socket are good, the control board light relay or wiring may be faulty and require professional diagnosis.

Note: Do not use standard household bulbs; they cannot withstand oven temperatures.
