Possible Causes
Worn convection fan motor bearings, Loose internal panels or heat shields, Oven racks or accessories vibrating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before touching internal components. Allow the oven to cool.
- Isolate noise source: Run the oven and listen carefully to locate the noise (rear wall, bottom, door, etc.). Turn off and cool before inspecting.
- Check racks and accessories: Remove all racks and accessories, then run the oven again. If noise disappears, adjust or replace the noisy rack or accessory.
- Inspect convection fan: Remove the rear interior panel to access the fan. Check for loose fan blade, bent blades, or debris. Tighten the fan nut and remove obstructions. If the motor is noisy when spinning, replace the convection fan motor.
- Secure panels: Tighten any loose screws on internal panels, heat shields, and the back cover.
Note: Some fan noise is normal, but grinding or scraping sounds indicate a problem.
