Possible Causes

Disconnected or broken NTC sensor wiring, Failed NTC temperature probe, Corroded connector at control board, Damaged harness from heat exposure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing covers.

  • Access the sensor: From inside the oven cavity, locate the temperature sensor at the rear. Remove its mounting screws and gently pull it forward.
  • Check connections: Inspect the sensor plug and socket for corrosion or loose pins. Clean with electrical contact cleaner and reseat firmly.
  • Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance at room temperature. If the meter shows OL (open circuit) or extremely high resistance, the sensor is faulty. Replace with a compatible Amica NTC probe.
  • Inspect harness: Trace the cable from the sensor to the main PCB. Look for breaks where the cable passes near sharp metal edges or hot areas. Repair or replace damaged sections using high-temperature cable.
  • Control board connector: Check the PCB connector for cracked solder joints. Reflow if necessary or replace the board if the connector is damaged.
  • Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run a preheat cycle. If E05 persists with a known-good sensor and wiring, the main control board is likely defective.
