Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Moisture ingress into sensor probe, Pinched sensor cable causing conductor short, Faulty control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before any disassembly.
- Remove and inspect sensor: Take out the NTC sensor from the oven cavity. Check for signs of moisture, cracks, or burnt areas on the probe.
- Measure resistance: At room temperature, a shorted sensor will show near 0 Ω. Replace the sensor if resistance is extremely low or unstable.
- Check cable routing: Ensure the sensor cable is not trapped between panels or pressed against sharp edges. Free the cable and repair any damaged insulation. Replace the harness if conductors are exposed.
- Control board check: If a new sensor still results in E06, the analog input circuit on the main PCB may be shorted. Replacement of the control board is required and should be done by a qualified technician.
- Final test: After replacement, run the oven at 180°C and verify stable temperature without error codes.
