Possible Causes
Worn function selector switch, Broken encoder shaft, Oxidized contacts in selector, Damaged wiring between selector and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Access the selector: Remove the front control panel or top cover to expose the function selector knob assembly.
- Inspect mechanical parts: Check that the selector shaft is not cracked and that it rotates positively through each detent. Replace the selector switch if the shaft is loose or broken.
- Clean contacts: If accessible, spray electrical contact cleaner into the selector switch while rotating it through all positions to remove oxidation.
- Check wiring: Verify that all spade connectors and harness plugs are firmly seated and not heat-damaged. Repair or replace any burnt connectors.
- Test: Reassemble the panel, restore power, and rotate through all modes. If E07 persists, the main PCB may not be reading the selector correctly and may require replacement.
