Possible Causes

Failed tangential cooling fan motor, Faulty fan relay on PCB, Broken wiring to cooling fan, Obstructed fan blades

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the fan.

  • Access cooling fan: Remove the top cover of the oven to expose the tangential cooling fan assembly.
  • Check for obstruction: Ensure no insulation, wiring, or debris is blocking the fan blades. Clear any obstruction.
  • Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan wires and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the cooling fan assembly if open or if the motor is noisy or seized.
  • Inspect wiring and relay: Trace the fan wires back to the main PCB. Repair any damaged wiring. On the PCB, inspect the fan relay for burn marks or cracked solder joints. Replace the PCB if the relay is defective.
  • Functional test: Reassemble, restore power, and run the oven at 180–200°C. Confirm that the cooling fan starts shortly after heating begins and continues for some time after switching off.
