Possible Causes

Cracked glass touch panel, Moisture on control surface, Faulty touch sensor PCB, Damaged ribbon cable between glass and PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains before removing the front glass panel.

  • Clean the surface: Wipe the glass control area thoroughly with a dry cloth to remove moisture, grease, or cleaning residues. Allow to dry completely and test again.
  • Inspect for cracks: Look closely for hairline cracks in the glass near the touch icons. If cracked, replace the complete glass touch panel assembly.
  • Check ribbon cable: Remove the front panel to access the touch PCB and ribbon cable. Ensure the cable is fully seated and not damaged. Replace if creased or torn.
  • Replace touch PCB: If the glass and cable are intact but E17 persists, replace the touch sensor PCB (user interface board) with an Amica-compatible part.
  • Reassemble and test: Restore power and verify that all touch keys respond correctly without false activations.
