Possible Causes
Worn membrane keypad, Damaged touch sensor traces, Faulty button switches, Broken ribbon cable to UI board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control fascia.
- Test all keys: Note which buttons or touch areas fail. If an entire row or column is dead, suspect the ribbon cable or connector.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and check the flexible cable for cracks or kinks. Reseat or replace as needed.
- Membrane or touch panel: If only certain keys fail and the cable is good, replace the membrane keypad or glass touch panel assembly, depending on model.
- UI PCB: If replacing the panel does not restore function, the user interface PCB may be defective and should be replaced.
