Timer / Auto Mode Misconfiguration
Oven timer counts down but heating does not start until a manual confirmation is pressed, or oven appears 'dead' until clock is set.

Possible Causes
Timer set to automatic end mode, Clock not set after power loss, Misuse of programming functions, Stuck timer relay contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is needed for basic timer settings. For relay checks, isolate from mains.
- Set the clock: After any power interruption, set the time of day according to the user manual. Many Amica ovens will not heat until the clock is set.
- Cancel automatic programs: Ensure the timer is not set to 'auto' or delayed start. Press the manual mode button (often a hand symbol) to return to manual operation.
- Check user manual: Review the programming instructions to ensure the oven is not inadvertently left in an automatic end state.
- Relay check (if still faulty): If the display shows manual mode but heating does not start, the timer relay on the PCB may be stuck open. This requires PCB repair or replacement by a technician.
