Oven will not heat in any mode, display and lights work normally
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging it. Verify power is off before removing any panels.
- Check supply voltage: Confirm the wall outlet or cooker connection is supplying correct voltage (usually 220–240 V AC). If no power, the issue is external to the oven.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the mains terminal block for burnt wires or loose screws. Tighten connections and replace any burnt wiring or the terminal block if damaged.
- Access the main PCB: On many Ariston built-in ovens, the main control board is behind the front control panel or top cover. Remove the screws, carefully pull the panel forward, and locate the PCB.
- Check for visible damage: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints under the main power relay, or darkened areas on the board. If present, the PCB should be replaced as a complete unit.
- Test relay output: With power restored and extreme caution (only if you are trained), measure voltage at the oven heating element terminals when a heating mode is selected. If no voltage is present and the PCB input is correct, the main board/relay is faulty.
- Replace PCB: Label and disconnect all harness plugs, remove mounting screws, and install the new genuine Ariston control board. Reconnect wiring exactly as before, reassemble, and test.
Warning: Live voltage testing and PCB repair should only be performed by qualified persons. If unsure, contact an authorized Ariston service center.
