Possible Causes

Open-circuit circular element around fan, Loose or burnt wiring to circular element, Faulty convection element relay on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains and wait for it to cool.

  • Access convection element: Remove the oven shelves and the rear internal panel inside the cavity (usually held by a few screws). This exposes the circular element around the fan.
  • Visual check: Inspect the circular element for cracks, hot spots, or breaks in the sheath.
  • Test resistance: From the rear of the oven, access the element terminals. Disconnect the wires and measure resistance; typical values are 20–50 Ω. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
  • Inspect wiring and insulation: Ensure wires are not touching the fan blades and that insulation is intact. Replace any damaged wiring with high-temperature cable.
  • Replace element if faulty: Remove the mounting screws holding the circular element, pull it out, and install a new genuine Ariston convection element. Refit the rear internal panel and ensure the fan spins freely.
  • Test operation: Restore power and select a fan-assisted mode. The oven should reach set temperature without displaying the error.
