Possible Causes
Faulty pyrolytic temperature sensor, Open safety thermostat on top of cavity, Cooling fan not operating during pyro cycle, Incorrect door lock feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool and isolated from mains before inspection.
- Check cooling fan operation: During a normal heating cycle, verify that the tangential cooling fan runs. If not, resolve the cooling fan fault before attempting pyro cleaning.
- Inspect safety thermostats: Locate the high-limit thermostats on top of the oven cavity. Test for continuity; if open and non-resettable, replace with genuine Ariston parts.
- Verify pyro sensor: Some pyrolytic models use a dedicated high-temperature sensor. Test its resistance according to the service manual. Replace if out of range.
- Door lock feedback: Ensure the door lock fully engages and that the lock feedback switch signals the closed position to the PCB. Adjust or replace the lock assembly if needed.
- Test pyro cycle: After repairs, run a short pyro cycle under supervision to confirm that the error does not reoccur and that external surfaces do not overheat.
