Possible Causes

Damaged meat probe, Dirty or oxidized probe socket, Broken wiring from probe jack to PCB, Faulty probe detection circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring.

  • Inspect probe and socket: Check the meat probe tip and plug for damage or corrosion. Clean the plug and socket with a dry cloth.
  • Test probe resistance: Measure resistance across the probe contacts; compare with Ariston specifications. An open or shorted probe must be replaced.
  • Check socket wiring: From inside the control panel area, locate the probe jack and ensure its wiring harness is intact and firmly connected to the PCB.
  • Replace faulty parts: If the probe is defective, replace it with a genuine Ariston probe. If the jack is loose or damaged, replace the jack assembly.
  • PCB check: If probe and jack are good but the error persists, the probe detection circuit on the main board may be faulty, requiring PCB replacement.
